We hope you enjoy the rantings and ravings of the crew here at CCB&G
Okay, you say, free shipping is great, thanks, but uh…
aren’t you guys now charging ten bucks a bag for your flax-granola when everyone and his brother said eight bucks a bag was already pushing it?
Yes, but, hear me out... the way it breaks down is that ten bucks a bag with free shipping is a better deal than eight bucks a bag with shipping added to the price. Take for instance… Let’s say you ordered three bags of our flax-granola at the old price of eight dollars a bag that would be $24.00 plus $10.50 for shipping for a total of $34.50. Now we charge $30.00 for those same three bags but shipping’s free. That’s a savings of $4.50. or about 12% overall price reduction. Or, let’s say you ordered eight bags of flax-granola at $8.00 a bag that would be $64.00 plus 25.00 for shipping for a total of $89.00. Now you only pay a straight $80.00.
Hey, that’s a pretty good deal. And that’s exactly why we did it. Not only FREE shipping but you save some money. Just remember, the only thing we ask is that you spend $30.00 and FREE shipping will apply to anything you order from us.

Flax-Granola in BULK packaging....
We finally got a video shot – gorgeously shot – by Keith (http://www.keithseaman.com), the same amazing dude who designs our product labels and this website. The video shows something of our tight little work space, the spacious kitchen where we bake and a few shots of our building and Main Street, Bloomsburg. Michael is seen throughout doing all the work -- sprouting the wheat, grinding it, shaping and benching the loaves and baking it all up. I pop in toward the end to roll out some pita and for that I call myself a baker. Puh. Not seen in this video are the guys who make up Team-Granola. That would be Awesome Dave, Shawn of Prana and Erik the Troll Hunter. The music that underscores the video deserves special mention. A. A. Bondy’s “When the Devil’s Loose” is a strong, atmospheric piece by an incredible musician. We downloaded the song from a daytrotter session and you can find more on Bondy’s great music at his myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/aabondy)

You've got the recipe. Now comes the tricky part, the bake.
To begin, pre-heat your oven to 250 degrees. We'll be reducing the oven temp during the bake but, do not, at anytime, go above 250.
We realize our flax-granola is expensive but we're also very concerned for our customers who want this granola but it may be that they require kosher or have serious nut allergies (we offer nut-free varieties of our granola but we do NOT bake in a certified kosher nor certified nut-free kitchen). So if you are highly allergic to nuts, please be 100% safe and follow this recipe to concoct your own flax-granola at home. And, if you just want to save a few bucks, that's great - try making it yourself and, in either event, if you have any questions, please e us.
Helping us to adapt our recipe for the home baker was Erin F. of Minnesota and I want to thank her for testing everything out and taking pics and agreeing to share her success with everyone.
